Knitting Pattern: Basic Beginner Bed Socks

Updated: Jul 23, 2023

I've been on a sock kick lately, and now I understand what the fuss is all about. I wear slipper socks year-round and knew I needed to work up some socks in worsted weight.

This pattern is a fun quick knit with a 2x2 rib throughout the leg and instep with a slip stitch heel flap and a wedge toe.

This is a perfect project for beginners since worsted weight is easier to work with, especially for the gusset and grafting, and they fly off the needles, which also makes them great for last-minute gifts.
